A Keepsake for a Friend

My friend Karen loves all things vintage like me so naturally she wanted an heirloom necklace too. I love vintage photos. They are full of history and a life once full of hope and love. When I see pictures at a thrift store or flea market I always wonder about the stories behind the pictures. If  a photo "speaks" to me then I adopt it and they become one of my many ancestors! My family thinks I'm crazy for hanging strangers pictures on my wall, but once I adopt them I create a life and memories for them.

The week after Christmas is the saddest time of the year for me, all the hype of the season is over and I'm always sad. I took all the Christmas stuff home that didnt sell and decided to give the shop a new look.

A New Year

So I go to bed at 3AM New Year's Day, fully intending to sleep in, but I was up at 8:00?? Who does that? So I put my insomnia to good use and got crafty! Everything will be in the shop tomorrow!
